Dragon Ball and its successor Dragon Ball Z are both good
fellas beat off baddie to save the world type of story.
Like many other successful Anime, a TV series followed.
After about 150 episodes, the Dragon Ball series stopped and
a new series called 'Dragon Ball Z' soon followed it. There were
many reasons for this change. One of the strongest
arguments were the change of fighting styles. The latest series of Dragon Ball is now Dragon Ball GT (Grand Tournament). I haven't got a chance to watch that yet.
The original Dragon Ball series was really fun to watch but
maybe Mr. Toriyama (artist) ran out of ideas. And as a result, Dragon Ball Z doesn't have much of a story at all. Many people call it
'Drag-on Ball' nowadays. But nevertheless, Dragon Ball Z can
still attract many people with its high speed action, occasional
humour and its 'God-knows-what-next' storylines.
The first time I ever watched an Anime cartoon was when I was on Holiday
in Hong Kong, and I was amazed by how graphically animated and superb
this cartoon was. I just couldn't take my eyes off it. And that was how
I got Stuck on Anime!
